After a few days of gloom, it may be time to pack away the turtlenecks for the season.

A much sunnier, warmer weather pattern is settling into Colorado, with highs near 90 in the immediate forecast.

Today’s high will be 76 degrees, with a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Winds will pick up, with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour this afternoon for the Front Range.

If storms do develop, the National Weather Service is warning of potential hail. The highest risk is along the foothills of Boulder and Larimer Counties.

Tonight’s low will be around 54 degrees.

Thursday’s high temperature should be much warmer, near 87 degrees, with a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.

Friday’s high will be back in the high 70s, and the weekend will be in the 80s.
