Littleton emergency workers closed off a segment of Dry Creek Road in both directions today after a large water-main break flooded the street, officials say.

The break just east of Colorado Boulevard was causing a safety hazard, according to a Littleton fire dispatcher.

Denver Water officials headed to the location after the 12:20 p.m. break.

At 5 p.m., two lanes, one going east and the other going west, on the south side of Dry Creek Road opened up.

The north side of Dry Creek Road remains closed.
