GREELEY, Colo.—Autopsies are scheduled Friday in Colorado on the bodies of three teenage girls found dead in a housing complex on the Wind River Indian Reservation, south of Riverton, Wyo.
Jonathan Barela, the assistant public relations director for the Northern Arapaho Tribe, identified the three as Alexis Gardner, Alex Whiteplume and Winter Rose Thomas.
The age of each girl isn’t clear, but authorities have said the three were ages 13, 14 and 15. Officials say the girls were found dead Wednesday morning at a tribal housing complex.
The autopsies are expected to take place at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo.
The medical examiner’s office in Loveland often handles investigative autopsies from Wyoming with assistance from the Weld County deputy coroner’s office.
