COLORADO SPRINGS — An 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man are dead following a shooting late Friday night in a Colorado Springs neighborhood, police said Saturday.
When police arrived at a home near Carmel Drive and Monterey Road they found two people lying in the street, said Sgt. Randy Thomas, Colorado Springs police spokesman.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was rushed to Memorial Hospital, where she died of her injuries.
Police have not arrested anyone, and the motive for the shooting is not available, Thomas said.
Authorities have not released the names of the victims pending confirmation of their identities and notification of family members.
