DENVER—The American Red Cross Mile High Chapter in Denver says it will activate its disaster response call center Sunday to help people affected by flooding in Iowa and the Midwest.
Trained volunteers will take calls from 8 a.m. until noon Sunday from people seeking help from the Red Cross.
The volunteers will use a nationwide computerized system to direct callers to their nearest Red Cross chapter, shelter or service center.
Flooding has caused thousands in Iowa to evacuate and has caused millions of dollars of damage.
