For the fourth consecutive year, the state’s tourism industry has seen increases in number of domestic visitors.
Travel to Colorado was up 4 percent last year, compared with 2006, according to a study released today by the Colorado Tourism Office.
Denver also saw a 4 percent increase during the same period, the study found.
Overall, visitors to the state totaled 26.9 million, and the state’s national share of travel rose from 2.35 percent in 2006 to 2.5 percent last year. And domestic-travel spending was up 10 percent to a record $9.8 million.
