Mötley Crüe, “Saints of Los Angeles” (Eleven Seven Music) It’s been more than 10 years since Mötley Crüe’s original four members cut a record togetherand this is their comeback, timed to their CrüeFest tour that stops at Greenwood Village’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on July 27.
Gerald Albright, “Sax For Stax” (Peak) Local sax player Albright is back with this disc, a tribute to Memphis and its Stax Records. Albright tackles eight popular Stax covers (including “Knock on Wood”) and includes three originals he wrote with Memphis on his mind.
Sigur Ros, “Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust” (XL) This lovely atmospheric band is Iceland to the core, and this is the first record it’s ever recorded outside its native land. The band traveled to New York, London and Havana to record this record with producer Flood, and it’s as beautiful as fans expect it to be.
