A Park County woman is being investigated on suspicion of animal cruelty after five malnourished horses were seized, the Sheriff’s Department said today.
A local veterinarian was called in to assess the animals before they were seized from the home on Park County Road 102 near Guffaw.
The five horses were taken in by Dream Catcher Equine Rescue in Pueblo.
No charges have yet been filed against the owner.
