GREELEY — The Larimer County district attorney’s office will investigate whether Greeley Mayor Ed Clark broke the law.
He is accused of pulling a teenager from his motorbike and throwing him to the ground last week.
The case was given to the Larimer DA to avoid conflict-of-interest problems because Clark works for the Weld County district attorney as a special investigator, said Larimer DA spokeswoman Linda Jensen. Clark is a former Greeley police officer.
Following the incident, the teenager’s father filed for and received a temporary restraining order against Clark.
The incident stems from a long-standing dispute between the boy and Clark’s wife, say neighbors.
