Authorities have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of threatening to shoot his roommates yesterday afternoon, officials say.
Charlie Lembo was being held in the Boulder County Jail for investigation of menacing and criminal mischief, said Lori Cox, spokeswoman for the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
SWAT teams from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Longmont Police Department were called to a home on the 7500 block of North 67th Street in Longmont at 2:45 p.m. after Lembo allegedly threatened his roommates, Cox said.
Lembo’s father, Christopher Lembo, said his son threatened to kill the roommate but he never had a gun and only made the threat over the phone.
Negotiators used a robot to deliver a cellular phone to Lembo so they could talk to the suspect, Cox said.
Lembo later came out of the home voluntarily and surrendered, Cox said.
The suspect is also accused of causing damage to a car parked at the home.
