ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three people, including a Boulder woman, were killed Saturday in a boat crash at a pier on Lake Ontario.
According to Monroe County deputies, killed were Jennifer Lee Leasure, 30, of Boulder; Michele Ciaccia, 33, of Penfield, N.Y.; and Cori L. Mitchell, 28, of Rochester. The driver, Howard F. Eddy, 35, of Greece, N.Y., was hospitalized. Two other people were treated and released.
Police said the accident ocurred shortly before 2 a.m., when the boat hit a pier. Inside the piers, the speed limit for boats is 6 miles an hour.
