School celebrates new solar array
Gov. Bill Ritter and Sen. Ken Salazar will be among the speakers Tuesday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Colorado Rocky Mountain School’s new solar array in Carbondale. CRMS board president Michael Kennedy and Jim Crown and Mike Kaplan of the Aspen Skiing Co. also will attend. Sen. Salazar to discuss Farm Bill
Sen. Ken Salazar will kick off a “Putting the Farm Bill to Work Tour” at Food Bank of the Rockies today. Salazar will discuss how the Farm Bill, with its significant investments in nutrition, will help food banks meet the growing demand for assistance, while delivering safe and healthy food to American tables, and supplying fresh fruits and vegetables to kids at school. Ideas Fest offers music, talks
The Aspen Institute is encouraging teens, young adults and families to attend many of the events open to the public at the 2008 Aspen Ideas Festival, which begins today and runs through Sunday. Film screenings, an evening event featuring the music of Steve Earle and talks with resilient teens who survived the toughest of circumstances are open to the entire community at $15 per ticket.
