ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Three people, including a former Colorado woman, are dead following a boat crash at a pier on Lake Ontario.
According to Monroe County deputies, killed were 30-year-old Jennifer Lee Leasure of Brighton, N.Y.; 33-year-old Michele Ciaccia of Penfield, N.Y.; and 28-year-old Cori L. Mitchell of Rochester, N.Y.
The boat driver, 35-year-old Howard F. Eddy of Greece, is listed in guarded condition at a hospital. Two other people were treated and released.
Deputies tell the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle the accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, when the boat hit the Summerville pier.
Relatives say Leasure moved back to New York about a year and a half ago after five years in Boulder, Colo., because she wanted to be with her family.
