The Fourth of July holiday in Denver will be warm, but not record-breaking, the National Weather Service predicts.
With an anticipated high up to 95 degrees, the 1874 record of 102 degrees is in no danger of falling.
Little wind is expected that would cool things off.
There is a 10 percent chance of showers tonight before 10 p.m., so most fireworks shows should be safe. Temperatures will drop overnight, but only to about 65 degrees.
Tomorrow it’s more of the same, with a high predicted of 96 degrees and a 20 percent chance of showers into the afternoon and evening.
Winds could pick up to 25 mph Saturday night.
