Sigur Ros, like Radiohead, has the potential to captivate Red Rocks with a moody, spacious sound few others can approach. The Icelandic band, however, is more precious than Radiohead — singing in made-up languages, playing guitar parts with a bow — and has never played Red Rocks before, making its concert an even more singular experience. Tickets for the Sept. 12 show are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($34.50-$39.50, Ticketmaster)

Poison’s music may sicken some critics, but fans and drooling ironists will rejoice to see the band playing Fiddler’s Green on Sept. 6 with fellow ’80s butt-rock refugees Dokken and Sebastian Bach. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($20-$74.50, Ticketmaster)

Ice Cube is less respected for his music these days than his general profile in the contemporary hip-hop world, but seeing him in concert is still a treat. He plays the Ogden Theatre on Sept. 7. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($39.50, Ticketmaster)

Of Montreal returns to the Ogden Theatre on Nov. 16, exactly one year after their last stop, to promote new album “Skeletal Lamping.” The disc, out in October, purportedly moves closer to soul-funk than the last year’s excellent, unsettling indie rock epic, “Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?” Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($20, Ticketmaster)

Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers will bring singer-songwriter Erin McKeown to the Bluebird on Sept. 26. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($14-$16, Ticketmaster)

Tickets for the Denver show on sale at 10 a.m. today. Aggie tickets are on sale now. ($8-10, Ticketmaster or )

Super Diamond’s popularity is curious given that the tribute band often sounds nothing like its cheesy namesake. Then again, most fans are just there for the ridiculous wigs and beer. Tickets for the band’s Oct. 4 show at the Ogden Theatre are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($20, Ticketmaster)
