Wednesdays in the park

Downtown workers who want a different way to spend their lunch hour on Wednesday can try a free group tai chi class at Skyline Park (Arapahoe Street between 15th and 16th streets). The class, noon-1 p.m., is offered by Cigna Health Care as part of a summer program that will include these offerings:

July 23, group yoga, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

July 30, ultimate stroller, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Aug. 6, healthy appetizers cooking class, 6-7 p.m. More info at ;

Yoga-palooza

Live music, nonstop yoga, fire-twirling and kids programs are among the attractions promised for YogaRocks, Aug. 23-24 on the 17-acre grounds of Planet Bluegrass in Lyons. Among the presenters are Simon Park, who teaches vinyasa flow and Thai massage; Sree Bringi, a yoga philosophy instructor from Naropa University; and certified Anusara instructor Jeanie Manchester. Festival tickets start at $125 per day or $225 for a full-weekend pass (includes camping) and $40 per day for the Camp Yoga Rocks program (for children 3-10) and $80 for a weekend kids festival pass. Early-bird rates, in effect until Tuesday, are $195 for the weekend and $40 per day for the Camp YogaRocks program. More at .
