One man died early this morning after being shot as several people fought in west Denver, police said.
Denver police said they were called at about 11:47 p.m. Wednesday “on several parties fighting” in front of a home on the 1500 block of Osceola St., police spokesman Sonny Jackson said in a press release.
The caller also told police that gunshots had been fired in the area, Jackson said.
Police arrived and found a man suffering from gun shot wounds. He was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he later died, Jackson said.
Details on the victim, including his name, were not released.
Investigators are interviewing area residents and hoping to track down people involved in the fight who scattered after the gunfire, Jackson said.
The shooter remains at large.
