DENVER—A 27-year-old man suspected of entering a Littleton credit union, firing a gun and demanding money faces federal bank robbery charges.

Tobias Archuleta was advised of the charges Friday in U.S. District Court in Denver and appointed a public defender.

Archuleta called authorities and was arrested at a Jefferson County shopping mall Wednesday several hours after the holdup at Bellco Credit Union. He had fled in a car stolen from a credit union employee.

Archuleta is in custody and is due in court Wednesday for a detention and preliminary hearing.
