Former University of Wyoming star Hanna Zavecz, a native Australian, recently made the jump to the pro ranks when she signed with the Bendigo Spirit of the Women’s National Basketball League — Australia’s highest level of women’s basketball. Zavecz was a three-time all-Mountain West Conference selection. Last season she led the Cowgirls (24-7) in scoring (13.7 points per game), rebounding (6.0), assists (3.6), steals (1.6) and blocked shots (1.6), and to their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
