Spain’s Rafael Nadal, right, will replace Switzerland’s Roger Federer atop the world tennis rankings if he wins the ATP Masters Series tournament in Cincinnati on Sunday and Federer loses before the semifinals, the tour said on its website. Federer, the world’s top player since Feb. 2, 2004, lost in the second round last week. Federer and Nadal have occupied the top two spots in the rankings since July 25, 2005, when Nadal rose to No. 2. Federer has been ranked No. 1 for a record 234 consecutive weeks. Nadal has seven titles this year and an overall 61-7 record.
