LiquidMaize LLC, a closely held ethanol producer, delayed construction of a refinery in Lamar because of difficulty obtaining financing.
The Denver-based company plans an 11 million-gallon-a- year ethanol plant, company spokesman Steve Caulk said in a phone interview Tuesday. He declined to disclose the cost of the project.
