GREELEY, Colo.—Fort Lupton police say a woman whose body was found on railroad tracks in Weld County was likely a victim of suicide.

Police Chief Ron Grannis said Monday that 21-year-old Lilly Peralez had told others she was planning to kill herself. Police found her body Sunday morning after a Union Pacific Railroad engineer called them to report debris on the tracks.

Grannis says it appears Peralez was struck by a southbound train and then a northbound train.

The Weld County coroner says she suffered a broken neck and head trauma.
