Severe thunderstorms could bring tornadoes, large hail and high winds to northeast Colorado on Saturday afternoon and evening, forecasters said.

The National Weather Service issued a for parts of the Eastern Plains until 10 p.m., including Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties.

Several tornadoes, scattered egg-sized hail and wind gusts up to 80 mph are possible, NWS forecasters said.

Colorado’s Front Range and Eastern Plains are set to see tumultuous weather this weekend and through Monday night, including a chance of snow, according to the agency.
