ANGRY GREENE BREAKS HAND, MIGHT MISS REST OF SEASON

SAN DIEGO — Padres shortstop Khalil Greene has a broken left hand and could miss the rest of the season, manager Bud Black said Thursday.

After fouling a ball off his shin and then striking out in Wednesday’s loss to the Diamondbacks, Greene hit something in the tunnel between the dugout and clubhouse with his left hand, Black said.

Greene is expected to be out six to eight weeks, which could mean his season is over.

To take Greene’s roster spot, the Padres are expected to activate second baseman Tadahito Iguchi, who’s been on the disabled list with a separated right shoulder.

Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez said he agrees with his wife on two things: Their marriage is over, and she’s a good mother to their two daughters. But Rodriguez said in papers filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court that his five-year marriage to Cynthia Rodriguez is “irretrievably broken.” But because Florida is a no-fault divorce state, Rodriguez contends his wife’s claims of affairs are “immaterial and impertinent.”
