Wheat Ridge police raided two businesses and three homes today and seized documents and computers in a search for evidence of mortgage fraud.

Search warrants were served simultaneously at Superior Lending Associates of Colorado, and Mavy, Inc., both in Wheat Ridge.

Mavy’s phone has been temporarily disconnected, according to a telephone company message that greets callers. Superior could also not be reached for comment.

No one was arrested and police are withholding the names of suspects and witnesses due to the extent of the ongoing investigation.

The alleged fraud involves inflated real estate appraisals, inflated or forged income statements, and other forged documents.

Almost two-dozen Wheat Ridge officers and detectives along with three Lakewood agents executed the search warrants at about 8 a.m. today.

“Simultaneously serving multiple warrants in different jurisdictions takes some choreography,” said Detective Dave Dawson in a statement. “But it is necessary to preserve the evidence that may be found at each location.”

The names of suspects and witnesses in this case are being withheld due to the extent of the ongoing investigation. No one has been arrested at this time.

An anonymous call to police about a fraudulent mortgage application led to the raids.

Police don’t know how many loan applications may have been falsified, according to a Wheat Ridge police press release.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge of fraud, or who has done business with Mavy or Superior to call (303)235-2947.
