Divers are searching for the body of a man who last night fell from a boat and disappeared in Dillon Reservoir.
Three men rented a boat Wednesday night at the Frisco Marina, then went to the Tiki Bar at the Dillon Marina. They were returning in the boat when one of them fell out and immediately disappeared, said Paulette Horr, spokeswoman for the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
The men immediately turned around and searched but could not find the other man, she said.
Kevin Lukanski, 35, of Frisco, was arrested at the Frisco marina for investigation of being intoxicated while operating a boat, said Horr.
Lukanski was released on a $1,000 bond shortly after his arrest.
The name of the missing boater has not been released pending notification of his family, Horr said.
Sheriff’s deputies were called at about 9 p.m. and began searching near Sentinel Island along with officials from the Summit County Water Rescue Team, Horr said. Rescuers searched until after midnight, then resumed their efforts early this morning.
