DENVER—Authorities say alcohol and speed may have been factors in a crash on an Interstate 25 off-ramp north of downtown Denver that killed three people and hospitalized one.

Colorado State Patrol investigators say a 2004 Subaru Impreza with four people inside was speeding early Saturday on the northbound off-ramp at 58th Avenue when it went through the intersection, hit a raised island and median, went over a wall on the north side of 58th Avenue and rolled.

Killed were 22-year-old driver James Thomas of Westminster, 18-year-old Melissa Burns of Broomfield and 20-year-old passenger Daniella Devores of Broomfield. Nineteen-year-old Nicholas Palmer of Broomfield was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

All four wore seat belts.
