BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two teens after a report of an assault at a campsite near Jenny Lake.
Sheriff’s officials say 19-year-old Drake Bradshaw of Wheat Ridge and a 17-year-old boy whose name wasn’t released face charges of second-degree assault.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old Ray Richards of Arvada.
Investigators say a verbal exchange erupted between neighboring camps Sunday over how Richards was discharging a shotgun while target shooting. The dispute turned into a physical fight, and Richards was knocked to the ground.
Richards had cuts on his face and fractures to his face and hand.
