AURORA — Aurora police have a man in custody after a fatal early morning stabbing near East Colfax Avenue and Beeler Street.
The stabbing apparently followed an altercation between the two men, neither of whom has been identified.
When police responded to a call about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, they found a man in his 30s who had been stabbed in the upper body. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
A witness pointed out the suspect as he fled. He is being held on first-degree homicide charges.
Investigators want to complete their investigation before releasing the suspect’s name.
