Colorado State, discus: Malone, 31, who threw for CSU in college and now coaches the throwers at rival Colorado, still lives in Fort Collins. He’s a throwback to Olympians of years ago who worked full time and competed part time. This is his second Olympics. He begins competition this weekend.
