Colorado Springs, baseball: Nix’s fielding gaffe allowed South Korea to tie the score in the ninth inning in a game Team USA eventually lost 8-7. With one out and a runner on third, Nix, a second baseman, hesitated fielding a ground ball, and by the time he made a play, the runner was sliding home to make it 7-all. Nix is a Rockies farmhand who came out of spring training as the team’s starter. Afterward, Team USA players refused to talk to reporters, infuriating the media here. The Denver Post
