DENVER—Anti-abortion activists are planning a prayer vigil outside the Pepsi Center on Saturday, calling on the Democratic Party and Barack Obama to oppose abortion.
Organizers of the Prayer for Change event also plan protests outside hotels and restaurants where delegates and lawmakers will gather during next week’s Democratic National Convention.
The Rev. Patrick Mahoney says the protests will be peaceful and members of the group don’t want to be arrested.
Members of another group of anti-abortion activists led by Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry plan to be arrested during a sit-in sometime during the convention.
