ELIZABETH, Colo.—Authorities say an explosion touched off a fire in a home in Elbert County.

The explosion happened at about 6 a.m. Friday in the town of Elizabeth, about 30 miles southeast of Denver.

Elbert County sheriff’s spokesman Steven West says no one was injured or trapped inside. The fire was contained in about an hour.

Footage from KVDR-TV’s helicopter showed the roof of the large white house was buckling. The roof of the house’s garage was also gone.
