The labor-backed “just cause” measure has been certified for the November ballot, the Colorado secretary of state’s office said Friday.
The measure, which will appear as Amendment 55, aims to require businesses to give reasons for firing workers. The secretary of state’s office estimated that proponents submitted 88,061 valid signatures from registered voters, based on a random sample. The measure needed about 76,000 signatures to make the ballot.
