Defensive end Elvis Dumervil and tackle Kenny Peterson became the first linemen to record sacks for the Broncos, last week against Dallas, and coach Mike Shanahan is hoping other players follow suit tonight against Green Bay.
Shanahan named veteran Ebenezer Ekuban as one of the team’s best pass rushers, but Ekuban will miss the game because of back spasms. He did not practice Wednesday. That leaves young players such as Jarvis Moss and Tim Crowder looking to join Dumervil and Peterson on the sacks list.
“We’ve got some guys who are excellent athletes. It will be interesting to see who separates themselves,” Shanahan said.
