Gene Upshaw’s passing leaves a void that will be tough to fill. From the time Al Davis (whom he referred to as his mentor) drafted him, to the time Davis presented him at his induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Upshaw was a man of conviction and was always truthful. He was a great leader on and off the field. He will be missed.
