GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports it seized about 195 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop about east of Gillette.
Sgt. Stephen Townsend said the drugs were stashed in the back of a 14-foot U-Haul rental truck. The highway patrol pulled over the driver of the truck shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday in Crook County for swerving between lanes.
Townsend said a records check showed the driver was wanted on a warrant out of New Mexico. While searching the truck, state troopers found three plywood crates they said were filled with high-grade marijuana that has an estimated worth of nearly $500,000.
