One man was killed Sunday night when a car smashed into parked cars and careened toward people gathered on the porch of a Littleton home. Adrian Pizana-Rodriguez, 22, was later arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide, said Lt. Mike Broadhead, Littleton police spokesman.
Several people were standing and talking about 10:30 p.m. on a porch at an apartment at 368 W. Powers Ave. Broadhead said the suspect was driving fast westbound on West Powers Avenue when he lost control of his car.
Several people darted out of the way, but the victim didn’t move, Broadhead said. Police are trying to identify the victim, an illegal immigrant, he said.
The suspect also is an undocumented immigrant, and there was a warrant for his arrest for driving without a license.
It will be about two weeks before the blood test results come back to determine whether alcohol or drugs were a factor, Broadhead said.
