Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, the two-time defending Class 5A state champion, will further feed NCAA Division I baseball.
The Lobos, who won it all for the second year in a row last May, will have two regulars play at major colleges following the 2009 season and another after 2010. This is on the heels of former Lobos star and two-time player of the year Andy Burns, a top-flight prospect drafted by the Rockies in June, deciding to attend Kentucky.
Last week, pitcher-outfielder Bryan Peters, outfielder Jake Stewart and pitcher-infielder Pierce Trumper gave oral commitments. Peters and Stewart, who were named All-Colorado by The Denver Post, are seniors and Trumper is a junior.
Peters, who has yet to lose in 14 decisions as a schoolboy, pledged to Nebraska.
Stewart gave consideration to Arizona State and Nebraska but said he will attend Stanford.
Trumper will head to Arkansas, his primary choice.
“These are just great kids,” Lobos coach Scott Bullock said.
