A neighbor of the boy stabbed yesterday morning said the victim’s brother knifed him in the chest.

“The young guy that got stabbed is 16, the brother is older. There has been trouble there before, the brothers didn’t get along. They always quarreled,” said Sandy Granderson, who lives across the street from 4250 Crown Blvd., in Denver, where the incident occurred.

Police haven’t identified the victim, who was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, nor the names of any suspects.

Granderson told The Denver Post she saw the boy walking toward her sister’s home down the block after the stabbing occurred. “At that time we didn’t know he had been hurt.”

Her sister wouldn’t let him into the house, she said, and the teen walked back toward his own house and collapsed outside.

He told a neighbor who went to help that his brother “did it, and that it happened quick,” Granderson said.

Neighbors say that the victim, his brother and their mother have lived in the complex for about a year.

The teen who was stabbed is named Eddie, his brother is called Joey, Granderson said.
