BOULDER — The Boulder coroner’s office was performing an autopsy Saturday on a 49-year-old bicyclist who was struck by a car and killed Friday.
The accident happened near the intersection of 14th Street and Mapleton Avenue at 6:53 p.m., according to the Boulder Police Department.
The victim was taken to Boulder Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family members, according to Boulder County coroner Thomas Faure.
The Boulder police traffic unit is continuing to investigate the accident.
