Yeah, we know: It just isn’t the same when it’s someone else tied to the end of the bungee cord and jumping off the world’s highest suspension bridge. And that’s why the Royal Gorge Go Fast Games in Cañon City, Thursday through Sunday, are an adrenaline addict’s dream come true.
For the first time, the annual autumn showcase of aerial action sports is opening its bungee jumping operation (conducted by Over The Edge Bungee) to anyone with the nerve to jump off a perfectly good bridge 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River.
If that’s not enough to get your blood pumping, the event also includes BASE jumping demonstrations organized by Apex BASE, rock climbing and highlining demonstrations, BMX shows by the Yellow Design Stunt Team, free-running demonstrations throughout the park by Hybrid Free-Running, jaw- dropping jet-pack flights by the Go Fast Jet Pack and live musical performances by Glyphic, Random Hero and Three Tiers.
