Meese will kick off a handful of tour dates tonight in the midst of finishing its Atlantic Records debut. Expect to hear new tunes when the Denver pop-rock act takes over the Oriental with Barcelona and The Rough. $12-$14.

“Last Comic Standing” Live Tour includes the finalists from the NBC show — Marcus, Jeff Dye, Jim Tavare, Louis Ramey and 2008 winner Lliza Shlesinger — but offers that sampler platter in the infinitely more effective live setting. Tonight at the Paramount. $26-$36.

Weezer inspired such rapturous love with its first couple of albums that its recent creative missteps (brain-dead lyrics, uninspired songwriting) have done little to dampen the group’s nerdy, melodic appeal. Sunday at the Broomfield Event Center with Angels & Airwaves and Tokyo Police Club. $45-$49.50.

Neva Dinova is an exotic-sounding name for the refreshingly straightfoward, mellow indie-folk this act peddles. Hailing from Omaha, the home of its label (Saddle Creek), the band plays the Hi-Dive on Thursday with McCarthy Trenching and Alright Alright. $8-$10.
