ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK — Colorado’s first ski death of the season occurred Tuesday when a 40-year-old man from Boulder was killed on Taylor Glacier in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of his family.

He was was skiing alone and died of massive trauma, according to a Rocky Mountain National Park spokesman.

The man was reported missing late Tuesday, and his body was recovered Wednesday afternoon and turned over to the Larimer County coroner’s office.
