More than 30 firefighters continue to battle a 10-acre blaze in Larimer County today, but officials expect it to be contained around 6 p.m.
The Quillan Gulch fire started Tuesday about 2 miles south of the community of Drake near Rocky Mountain National Park and the Big Thompson River.
The cause of the fire is believed to be lightning.
No evacuations have been necessary, with the fire burning in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Roosevelt National Forest.
Firefighters from the park, the U.S. Forest Service and Larimer County Emergency Services are fighting the blaze.
A single-engine air tanker made five drops before sunset Tuesday.
