A 46-year-old woman has been identified as the person who died of burns and smoke inhalation in a blaze that destroyed eight Colorado Springs townhomes, authorities say.
Daniela Ohlberg was the only one of 17 people who lived in the townhomes at 202 W. Rockrimmon Blvd. who didn’t make it out of her townhome when the complex burned in a fire that also burned 10 cars.
Her body was found in Unit “F”, according to Lt. David Whitlock of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause and origin of the four-alarm fire that broke out early Saturday morning.
State, local and federal law enforcement experts are investigating the cause of the fire, Whitlock said.
