An Englewood police officer answering a nonemergency call and two people in a pickup were hospitalized following a collision last night near the intersection of South Logan Street and East Jefferson Avenue.
The names of the officer and the two people in the Ford pickup have not been released. They were taken to Swedish Medical Center after the 9:21 p.m. accident with minor injuries, according to an Englewood Police Department news release.
The officer was headed east on the 300 block of East Jefferson Avenue when the blue pickup turned from westbound East Jefferson Avenue onto South Logan Street into the path of the patrol car.
The patrol car broadsided the pickup, which rolled onto its roof, the news release says.
The investigation of the wreck is continuing.
