Mr. Brown’s big night:
Thompson Valley’s Dorian Brown was simply awesome Thursday night against Fossil Ridge. Brown carried the ball 28 times for 439 yards and five touchdowns in a 54-50 loss to the SaberCats. His total ranks as sixth-best in state annals.
Sticky fingers:
Drew Ebner dropped what would have been a sure touchdown pass early in the game for Pomona on Thursday night. He then made scoring grabs of 26, 19, 45 and 44 yards in a 48-28 victory against Chatfield.
Husky ground attack:
In Platte Canyon’s 60-6 rout of Manual on Saturday, the Huskies did not throw a single pass and ran for 462 yards on 34 carries.
