FOOTBALL

In Orms’ way

Parker Orms, a senior at Wheat Ridge, ran for 200 yards and five touchdowns and caught a pass for another, as the Farmers remained undefeated by trouncing John F. Kennedy 55-7 in the Class 4A West Metro League.

Wheat Ridge, ranked No. 10 in The Denver Post/9News 4A poll, moved to 6-0 by rolling to 469 yards of offense, 328 rushing. Orms scored on runs of 25, 68, 3, 35 and 30 yards. His scoring reception covered 34 yards and came from Charlie Land.

Windjammer jam

Aaron Friedland of Castle View and Samantha Thompson of Sierra were winners at Englewood’s Windjammer meet. Chaparral’s boys and Green Mountain’s girls took team honors.
