DENVER—Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is touring a new pediatric unit at Denver Health Medical Center.
Pelosi arrived Wednesday morning with Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette and greeted doctors at the Denver Emergency Center for Children.
Pelosi told doctors that DeGette has bragged about the good work the hospital has been doing.
She’s expected to discuss health care and field questions from the media after the tour.
Pelosi, an 11-term Democrat from San Francisco, is running for re-election against anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, known as the “Peace Mom.”
